saturday morning rides from the Tri Store........ in the beginning

Lawrence, founder and owner of the Tri Store wanted to get together like minded people who would run and cycle together, and make the store their start and finish point. Runners went off to do their thing, as did mountain bikes and road bikes. This worked fine, and a large group built up, until we took over the store and used it as a coffee shop on Saturday mornings and then ate him out of cake. So he kicked us out. But we've got thick skins and we didn't go away.......

AIMS

We still meet at the Tri Store but we have our cake and coffee elsewhere! We go on a group ride, mainly road bikes but newcomers on whatever bike they've got are also welcome.

We do suggest one thing to all those who come on the ride - please wear a helmet, it really does make sense.

If you are reasonably fit, can ride a bicycle, want to learn more and improve yourself, have respect for other riders in your group, have respect for other road users, treat the ride as a training session not a race, want a chat and a laugh and enjoy cake and coffee (it was a getting a bit serious there) - then this is for you!

WHO

Well, you of course, and your mates. Male or female, old or young, you'll be very welcome.

WHEN & WHERE

Just about every Saturday. Meet at the Tri Store, 49 Grove Road, Eastbourne at 9am and we generally leave around 9.20am.

The rides vary in length and terrain, some lumpy, some flat, some short, some long, from a 25km loop round Beachy Head to a 90km + tour of East Sussex. Suggestions for routes are always welcome, and the aim is to prepare a route sheet for each Saturday's ride (see Routes)
